April's Theme: Inheritance Month
Wednesday/March/28 2007
Blessings in
Jesus' name,
We are giving each month a different theme and emphasis, in order that we may focus on a single biblical truth and build on it throughout the month. We accomplish this through the teaching, the music and the other elements within the life of the church and the services.
This month has been designated "Inheritance Month".
As such, we will work to discover what the Scriptures say about our inheritance in Christ and how to walk in it in a very real and powerful way. When we do not understand what our inheritance is, then the tendency is to live below our privileges and blessings in Christ. I believe that none of us want that!
In reference to our inheritance in Christ, Paul the apostle declares: "In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will," (Ephesians 1:11, NKJV).
I am looking forward to this month's teaching.
Jesus Christ has Risen!
Yes, starting next week we will be celebrating our Lord's victory over sin, death and the grave, which brought to us a glorious, real and everlasting salvation.
On April 6th is Good Friday and we will be having a special service to acknowledge and thank our Lord for His infinite love, goodness and mercy in suffering and dying on the cross for our sins, in order to bring to us forgiveness, healing and new life.
In Luke 24:44, 46-47 (NKJV), it says,
“Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” ... Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
The service will include plenty of personal ministry for everyone who desires it. We are going to have a powerful and encouraging time in the Lord that night!
Then on Sunday, April 8th in our 10:00 a.m. service will we be celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord in full-force, as the praise and worship team and choir gives an outstanding musical presentation to the glory of our Lord Jesus. You don't want to miss it if you are in the area.
Well, that's it for now.
Blessings,
Pastor Jason
