1. Bible reading- (Psalms 119:105). The
word is a lamp to our feet and a light
to our path! Keep a bible in your car,
by your bed, and other places you might
go frequently!
It is amazing how taking little increments reading the word makes a huge impact on our life. The point is we do not always have to do it all at once.Reading the word and getting it in our spirit will definitely deepen our love and passion for God. It is not about being legalistic it is about our love relationship with the Lord. As we read the word we will long for more of the word. We will become passionate about the word.
2. Connecting with God-(James 4:8). When we draw near to God He will draw near to us. He wants to be apart of our day-to-day life as well as our focused prayer time. As we connect with God throughout our day it will make our focused prayer time all the richer. It is refreshing to take many times through the course of the day and think about God and then express our love to Him. God loves it! Not only does He love it, He responds to it. That is relationship.
3. Praying in tongues (Jude 1:20). When we pray in tongues or as some say “in the Spirit” we are building up our spirit-man. It supercharges our life. We need to be supercharged everyday! We can pray in tongues on our way to work (with our eyes open of course!) We can pray in tongues cleaning the house, taking a walk. If we do that by the end of our day we are going to be strengthened and built up.
As we build a deeper and closer relationship with God passion and worship will follow. The more we get to know God the more passionate we are towards God. As we place God as most important in our life, our lives come into divine order. There is a joy that awaits us everyday getting to know Him better!
